What is a penguin's environment?

When on land, different species of penguin live in quite different environments. But all spend most of their time in the cold ocean currents - so the only real answer is the Southern Oceans!

On land penguins habitat varies from the cold icy Antarctic (Emperors and Adelies) to the hot coastal deserts of South America (Humboldt) and even to the equatorial Galapagos Islands (Galapagos penguins).
