Number of Birds  Approximately 30 Emperors, 60 Kings, 80 Adelies, 100 Chinstraps, 80 Gentoos and 50 Macaronis in the main exhibit with another 20 Magellanics outside.
Description of Exhibit  The main exhibit is about 35 metres long and 15 metres deep. It has a fully controlled atmosphere and is kept at Antarctic temperatures. The front of the exhibit is a large glass window extending right down to the bottom of the pool, which is about 3 metres deep. To ensure the public keep moving there is a travelator moving in front of the exhibit with additional viewing areas behind. Outside there is an open air exhibit for the Magellanic penguins.
How to get there  By car, Sea World is in Mission Bay, San Diego.
