List of Institutions holding Penguins
We have
compiled from several sources, as complete a list of Institutions holding penguins as we
can manage. As far as we can tell the list is accurate as at the beginning of
2002.
We have at the top a list of countries and then a separate table
for each country. For each institution we give its name, the town or city where it is
located, and the species of penguins held. If we have visited the institution
ourselves we also give our "rating".
You can find up to date information about the
holdings of all animals in all zoos around the world on the ISIS web site at www.isis.org.
However, this site lists only by species and not by zoo and you will need to
know the latin names for the species you are looking up.
